Where we stayed Thursday night!

Tonight's house we stayed in was so adorable!  The kitchen was so cute! This is the master bed which is super comfy This sign is placed over the couch and adds the perfect brightness to the living room! The floors were so awesome! The honeycomb style is a very popular tile shape and adds the perfect touch to anything.  Overall I would give this house a soild 3 out of 5 stars. It was cute, but the neighborhood its in was not very safe feeling and it felt too clean to get comfortable inside.

Day #3!

Today we went through 3 states! Texas, Oklahoma and stopped in Arkansas! Only driving about 10 hours!  There were hundreds of windmills around the states, it is impressive to see how big they are! We saw a few trucks carrying the blades and they hung off at least 20-30 ft off the back! We went through only the top of Texas, which didn't take that long. Oklahoma was very flat and had hardly any trees, but we went through the whole part and that took us pretty much the whole trip. We stopped at a gas station in Oklahoma and they had a self serving hot dog stand, I don't know why I found it so cool. Maybe because there's nothing like that in CA Arkansas is so beautiful and green. There are so many trees and if you look at a mountain, there will be many shades of green and sometimes a bit of yellow, which was pretty cool.  It was very cloudy and cool. But no rain yet.  Tomorrow is going to be my brother's most favorite day of ...

Road Trip tips by Dad!

Through the whole starting of the trip, Dad has been coming up with tips of his own to make travel easier for everyone! Tip one: If you have a truck with a mega cab, use those packing cubes to pack your clothes in and they should fit behind the seats, which makes them accessible and easy to grab.  Tip two: Before you pack up your pump dispensing bottles, make sure you screw them shut tight! Dad had an unfortunate accident where his bottle pumped shampoo all over the toiletries and the bottle got crushed. This is one necessary tip!  Bonus tip: Don't bring children. They are expensive and always have to stop.  ( Note from Aldo- In my opinion, always bring children! It makes the trip more fun and memorable!)

Where we stayed last night.

The place we stopped at last night was one of the most amazing air bnbs we have stayed in yet! It was a boxcar! The boxcar was so cool! The outside was its original condition, and  the inside was updated, but still had the original look to it.  For a boxcar, it was really roomy and there was plenty of space for everyone. This is the master bed room, us kids slept on a pullout couch in the living room. The bathroom was so cool! The shower was a little hard to work, but it was so unique! An the other cool part was it was located on a donkey farm! I wish we had more time to check out this amazing place, but we had to keep driving!

Day #2!

Today we woke up bright and early and began our long drive to Texas! Today is the last day we are doing a crazy long drive (12-13 hours) The rest of the trip will be 8-9 hour drives! When we crossed the New Mexico/ Arizona border all the rocks turned from red to yellow! It was amazing to see a noticeable diffrence between the states! Amazing mountain In NM! The lonely tree at the rest stop in Arizona. Could this be a petrified footprint?? All through AZ and NM I have been seeing many abandoned houses and stores!  The weather has been great today and will be tomorrow! The drive has been slow today. We ran into 3 constructions sites and and few accidents and had to slow down, which added about two hours to the already long day, but that's ok! So far I love this drive so much!

And we're off! Day #1

Woke up super early this morning and began to finish packing up the truck for our adventure! When the sun first began to come up we left. It felt very comfortable and roomy inside the cab which was great! We managed to fit everything we needed for the trip and to live in our new house for a week.  Everything fit! Sunrise from the mountain  Our first big city we drove through was Sacramento, which was really cool! After a while of driving we started to drive through a whole long stretch of freeway with many popular factory's on either side, that was fun to see! This is the last bit of green grass I saw this whole day. Then after we got through the cities, we went through desert. That's it. Desert. And that's the day time part for today! Cant wait to see what tomorrow will be!

The moving truck has come!

What a busy day this has been! Early in the morning the moving truck came and we had to figure out where to park it. The truck was to big to go into the backyard so we had to bring everything out to the front yard so the movers could load it. It didn't feel like work, it was fun! One of our great neighbors came by and helped us the whole time, thank you! And within the next 4-5 hours the movers had finished packing the truck and they were on their way! Tomorrow morning we will be leaving bright and early in the morning. See how much stuff we have?🤣 When we were coming back from some errands. We saw them driving away!  Stay tuned for the next post, coming later in the night, it will show and tell you everything about what we did that day!
