Chicken eggs

For some reason the colder weather seems to be making the chickens lay more eggs, we're getting about eight. 
And today I actually managed to catch a guinea hen 😂
Everything is changing with the colder weather expected the pond since it overflowed with the past storm.

    Better start eating twice as many eggs or hard boil them & send them to CA

We got ducks!

This morning, we got a phone call from the post office telling us that our ducks were there and ready to be picked up! We had purchased a special breed of ducks, crested pekins, and the only way to get them was to order them from out of state! It only took 2 days to get here and they came safe and sound!  They were freezing cold when we got them, so we immediately put them in there temporary house. The aftermath of the storm

The storm wasn't as bad as the weather Channel said, but there was still quite a bit of rain and wind. No tornadoes or thunder. A lot of branches and pinecones fell and some of the pathways were flooded. But no serious damage! Now we have a lot to clean up after the next storm on Friday 😄

Mushrooms 🍄

All throughout our woods. Mushrooms grow everywhere! One they there is nothing on the trail and the next day giant ones are popping up! As dad has been building the pathways he has taken a whole bunch of pictures of them!  This one is called chicken in the woods. It is edible. We harvested some and dried it.  This little yellow one was so small!  This one looks like a shower head, but we don't know the name yet.  Thanks for the pictures dad!
