Weekend update!🍂🌻

We have been busy this week, doing school, working on the gates for the pig pens and the garden, cleaning for guests who will be visiting from Chico, even Scotty cleaned his room, fishing and enjoying the cool weather. (It was 49° last night!) 
Scotty is the master fisherman, he can catch anything! He has caught more fish than anyone!

The ducks have been exploring the yard more and more, they made it over to the chicken coop, and when they feel like it, the will quack as loud as they can, you can hear it from all over the yard and inside 😄 
Scottys birthday is coming up so we are planning his party, it's going to the Legend of Zelda theme!

Today we get pigs

After lunch today, we're driving a few hours to pick up the pigs. We're getting two Berkshire crosses today and one Kune-Kune on Sunday from a different place.  Dad has built the training pen behind the stove, you can see on the right there's the water and the far left is their house.  And, of course, Scotty named the two pigs,  Bop and Bonk 😂 Can anyone guess what those names are from?

Chicken eggs

For some reason the colder weather seems to be making the chickens lay more eggs, we're getting about eight.  And today I actually managed to catch a guinea hen 😂 Everything is changing with the colder weather expected the pond since it overflowed with the past storm.  Thats all for today, thanks for reading!

Ice ❄

The ice on the pool was about 1 ½ inches thick. (Of course I tried to stand on it 😏, it did break after a few seconds though) I don't know if you can see it, but it's really  thick.  And the shore of the pond was frozen too!  This is the sunset from the back deck around dinner time.  And here's a bonus picture of the ducks sleeping after they went swimming in the afternoon!
