Farm update!

We have been busy lately! I just turned 15 so we went out to lunch and shopped. I am having a birthday party this weekend so we are prepping for that.
The birds are all getting so big! We had a bit of trouble with the Guinea hens this morning, one jumped put of the box we use to carry them from the coop to the outside enclosure! I chased that thing all around the woods, those guineas run so fast! After about 10 minutes it decided to hide in a patch if Green Briar ( in case you didn't know it's really thorny vines) in the end we got it safely back into the coop!
They can roost so high up now!
The ducks are fully feathered and can now free range, but not go into the pond yet. They are still to little for that. They only like to stay by the house and hide under our deck 😄
That's all that's been going on for now.
 Hope you enjoyed reading!

Today we get pigs

After lunch today, we're driving a few hours to pick up the pigs. We're getting two Berkshire crosses today and one Kune-Kune on Sunday from a different place.  Dad has built the training pen behind the stove, you can see on the right there's the water and the far left is their house.  And, of course, Scotty named the two pigs,  Bop and Bonk 😂 Can anyone guess what those names are from?

Around the farm

Not to much has happened this month, we have mainly just been getting ready for the winter ahead.  There was a pig running around our backyard a few days ago. We don't know how it got there or who's it was, it was just running around. We tried to get it into the pig pens, but it ran away. It was so cute and tiny! The ducks and chicken are all good, all the chicken are now laying. We get around 6-7 eggs every day! Scotty grew a full beard and wanted to show everyone.  It's almost Thanksgiving! Dose anyone have any plans?  Thanks for reading!

Ice ❄

The ice on the pool was about 1 ½ inches thick. (Of course I tried to stand on it 😏, it did break after a few seconds though) I don't know if you can see it, but it's really  thick.  And the shore of the pond was frozen too!  This is the sunset from the back deck around dinner time.  And here's a bonus picture of the ducks sleeping after they went swimming in the afternoon!
