Things in NC that are different from CA

We were driving around a ton yesterday to check out our town! I noticed a bunch of different things that I have never seen before!
#1- All the lights are hung like the picture above- and when the wind blows they sway back and forth. 
#2- Carl's Junior is called Hardee's here. It looks the same though!
#3- There are trees and water everywhere! Everything is green and beautiful!
#4- A popular fast food place here is called Bojangles. And basically everywhere serves fried chicken!

We got ducks!

This morning, we got a phone call from the post office telling us that our ducks were there and ready to be picked up! We had purchased a special breed of ducks, crested pekins, and the only way to get them was to order them from out of state! It only took 2 days to get here and they came safe and sound!  They were freezing cold when we got them, so we immediately put them in there temporary house. Bowling 🎳

Today we went bowling with the Hiltons in Wake Forest. This was my and Scottys first time and we both thought it was really fun! We played 'Small balls' which is a smaller version of bowling. There was also a huge arcade which we spent a long time at too. 😂 It was a really fun experience and I'm sure we will be going again soon! 🎳

Homemade brioche buns! 🥖🍞

Since fall is fast approaching, we have been making bread to help warm the house😁 (it was 39° last night!) Our favorite bread recipie is brioche buns, they are quick to make, easy and healthy.
