The weather.

Wow! Yesterday we our first storm in NC! In the morning clouds were starting to roll in  and the sky was getting really dark, you could see in the horizon how dark they were getting. Then right before lunch, it started to dump rain and thunder! This never happens in CA! But within the hour it cleared up and blew away and became humid. Then as we were picking up a pizza, a little bit of rain began to hit the windshield. It thundered all through dinner! Yet again it cleared up.
After me and my brother went to bed and mom and dad were asleep. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed! It was only a tiny bit terrifying😁 In the end my brother slept in my room and when we woke up, the storm was gone.
I'm definitely not used to this weather yet, but definitely can get used it it!

Today we get pigs

After lunch today, we're driving a few hours to pick up the pigs. We're getting two Berkshire crosses today and one Kune-Kune on Sunday from a different place.  Dad has built the training pen behind the stove, you can see on the right there's the water and the far left is their house.  And, of course, Scotty named the two pigs,  Bop and Bonk 😂 Can anyone guess what those names are from?

Around the farm

Not to much has happened this month, we have mainly just been getting ready for the winter ahead.  There was a pig running around our backyard a few days ago. We don't know how it got there or who's it was, it was just running around. We tried to get it into the pig pens, but it ran away. It was so cute and tiny! The ducks and chicken are all good, all the chicken are now laying. We get around 6-7 eggs every day! Scotty grew a full beard and wanted to show everyone.  It's almost Thanksgiving! Dose anyone have any plans?  Thanks for reading!

Ice ❄

The ice on the pool was about 1 ½ inches thick. (Of course I tried to stand on it 😏, it did break after a few seconds though) I don't know if you can see it, but it's really  thick.  And the shore of the pond was frozen too!  This is the sunset from the back deck around dinner time.  And here's a bonus picture of the ducks sleeping after they went swimming in the afternoon!
