Projects around the house!

We have lived in NC for a little bit over a week! During that week we have discovered new stores and restaurants we are wanting to check out, met a bunch of really nice people, explored our property and are doing repairs and unpacking boxes at our house. We have done a lot of work over the week and have many projects planned for next week! Here are a few work in progresses.
I am adding a miniature library to my closet. I only emptied 2 boxes full of books and I am going to need to purchase another huge bookcase to go on the left side. Maybe once I get everything a situated I might hang up some fabric on the walls for a dramatic effect!
Mom has unpacked the whole kitchen and is beginning the school room, Dad has been busy unpacking his tools, my brother is busy re-builidng his Lego sets and I am just unpacking all my stuff. I think my room is starting to look like a room!

And lastly, the sorta unnecessary but well used TV has been unpacked. Thank you bro! It was a rainy afternoon and we all were relaxing a bit and my brother asks if he can set up the TV. Both mom and dad said yes, and he began his project right away. It seriously only took him an hour to hook it up!

And that's the only the beginning of our projects! There will be a lot more coming once we finish unpacking.

Today we get pigs

After lunch today, we're driving a few hours to pick up the pigs. We're getting two Berkshire crosses today and one Kune-Kune on Sunday from a different place.  Dad has built the training pen behind the stove, you can see on the right there's the water and the far left is their house.  And, of course, Scotty named the two pigs,  Bop and Bonk 😂 Can anyone guess what those names are from?

Chicken eggs

For some reason the colder weather seems to be making the chickens lay more eggs, we're getting about eight.  And today I actually managed to catch a guinea hen 😂 Everything is changing with the colder weather expected the pond since it overflowed with the past storm.  Thats all for today, thanks for reading!

Ice ❄

The ice on the pool was about 1 ½ inches thick. (Of course I tried to stand on it 😏, it did break after a few seconds though) I don't know if you can see it, but it's really  thick.  And the shore of the pond was frozen too!  This is the sunset from the back deck around dinner time.  And here's a bonus picture of the ducks sleeping after they went swimming in the afternoon!
