Power outage

Right now we are expirencing a power outage, luckily it's warm and sunny outside ðŸĪŠ But just around ten minutes ago all the power went out, we don't know why but I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. (The power company says it should be on around 4:30)
And guess what, Scotty is incubating his fist egg. He took it out from under one of our chickens in the coop and this is the 11th day, there are 10 more days to go before it hatches, but he's candled it and says he sees something moving around inside.
He's also going to name it Sur, (short for Survive). 😄
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the upcoming week!

We got ducks!

This morning, we got a phone call from the post office telling us that our ducks were there and ready to be picked up! We had purchased a special breed of ducks, crested pekins, and the only way to get them was to order them from out of state! It only took 2 days to get here and they came safe and sound!  They were freezing cold when we got them, so we immediately put them in there temporary house. Now they are warm, happy and being adorable!💗 Name the third duck challenge. Alright everyone! We are having a competition! We have two ducks already named, Mrs. Wimpy Dimple and Flippy Floppy. But we need one more name for the third duck! Write your answer in the comments and the winner will be chosen on May 27th! Thanks for reading and I can't wait to see everyone's names!

The aftermath of the storm

The storm wasn't as bad as the weather Channel said, but there was still quite a bit of rain and wind. No tornadoes or thunder. A lot of branches and pinecones fell and some of the pathways were flooded. But no serious damage! Now we have a lot to clean up after the next storm on Friday 😄

Mushrooms 🍄

All throughout our woods. Mushrooms grow everywhere! One they there is nothing on the trail and the next day giant ones are popping up! As dad has been building the pathways he has taken a whole bunch of pictures of them!  This one is called chicken in the woods. It is edible. We harvested some and dried it.  This little yellow one was so small!  This one looks like a shower head, but we don't know the name yet.  Thanks for the pictures dad!
