Biking at Neuse River Greenway 🚲

Today we went on a bike ride with some friends at the Neuse River Greenway!  There was 30 miles of paved trails next to the Neuse River. Only a five of us made it 4.7 miles in, making the total trip around 10 miles long (Scott and I weren't even tired) 😂  The trails were beautiful, with a really nice trail, lots of trees and wildlife and of course it was next to the river.  I didn't get any pictures of the actual trail, but here's some of the dam at the beginning.

Fun personalized present 🎮

Early in December I was wondering what to get my brother. Something special and fun, but something that a teen boy would like.  So I came up with these custom video game scene paintings.  They are the best! This scene had a lot of small details so I printed out a picture and tucked it into the canvas. Then I traced it will pencil and painted. This one was really simple, I just sprinkled the canvas with white paint to look like stars and wrote quotes.  The possibilitys are endless!

Christmas eve✨️

It's Christmas eve! Is anyone else as excited as Scotty?  Every Christmas eve, we make pizza and watch Muppets Christmas Carol. What are some of your traditions?  I made a Christmas charcuterie today, and I think it turned out pretty good.  Merry Christmas everyone!

My and Scottys top 3 Christmas movies 🎬🎅

Scotty and I have picked our top three Christmas movies. Can you guess? Number 1- The Christmas Story The characters are hilarious and the overall story is stuffed full with lifelike scenarios. Realistic, funny and a great family Christmas movie. Rated PG Number 2- National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Guaranteed to have you laughing from start to finish. Rated PG-13 Number 3- Home Alone An eight year old left home alone during Christmas time? Robbers in the neighborhood? This movie is very funny and a great family movie.  Rated PG. What are your top three?

Holiday Baking

We have started baking and cooking for the holidays! We have made Christmas tree bread which turned out really good! We also have been prepping eveything to make it easier on Christmas day.  Here's another picture of downtown Wake Forest with lights... And it's 2 days until Christmas! Who's excited?  Merry Christmas everyone!

Bowling 🎳

Today we went bowling with the Hiltons in Wake Forest. This was my and Scottys first time and we both thought it was really fun! We played 'Small balls' which is a smaller version of bowling. There was also a huge arcade which we spent a long time at too. 😂 It was a really fun experience and I'm sure we will be going again soon! 🎳

Chicken-Licken and other pets

This is Chicken-Licken our rooster. He is big as a bowling ball and protects the chickens, but he's very friendly to people. The Guinea hens are behind him.  Lucy compared to Chicken-Licken.. This is the duck who I'm holding, trying to bring it to the pond😂 They always look like their smiling no matter what.  And here's Mom's little chicken 💗

Christmas in NC

In downtown Wake Forest, they went all out with decorations. There was an approximately 30ft tall christmas tree in the center and the roads were all decorated with lights.  And the ducks made it down to the pond and they absolutely love it! They waddle down there and stay for hours by the shore.  Thanks for reading, merry Christmas!

Neta's Fudge

This fudge recipe was given to me by one of our amazing neighbors many years ago when I was little. Neta made and gave us a batch of it every year until she couldn't, she wasn't old, but her health was failing. Besides making fudge she would ask me and my brother to help decorate her house with lights and gave us candy in return and so much more. 💓 Sadly, she passed away in Janurary, 2018, but every Christmas making this reminds us of our amazing neighbor and how much she meant to us. 💗 Her fudge is super quick and easy and I hope you give it a try.  Start by gathering you're ingredients, you will need... ● One can of condensed milk ● 2 cups of chocolate chips ● One teaspoon of vanilla extract ● 2 Tablespoons of butter Walnuts are optional!  ------ Get a glass or metal baking dish and line it with foil (butter or spray your foil!), set that aside and start working on your fudge.  Put all your ingredients into a pan and put on low heat, stir constan

Decorating for Christmas!

The day after Thanksgiving, we decorated for Christmas! We have two trees and a whole bunch of assorted decorations through the entire house!  The ducks also laid an egg in November! Thanks for reading!
