Halloween Spiderweb Cupcakes πŸ•ΈπŸ•·

A huge thank you to our grandparents who sent us all the ingredients!  This cupcake recipe is so much fun and simple to make! Its perfect for a Halloween party!  All you need is.... One box of chocolate cake mix and everything it says on the box to make the batter Marshmallows Candy eyes Cupcake wrappers Chocolate frosting  Start by making your cake batter and lining the cupcake pan with wrappers. *Tip! Use plain wrappers for the base since the batter will stain them. When they are done cooking then you put on your other wrappers.*   Fill up your cupcake wrappers roughly halfway and bake according to the box (we did 350 degrees for 21 minutes) When they are done and the toothpick comes out clean, let them cool for an hour. Then you can frost them! Now here's the fun part, marshmallow spiderwebs! Microwave your marshmallows in 5 second increments until they are gooey (Dont over cook!!)   Dip your fingers in water, then using your fingers spread the marshmallow paste all over the c

Carving pumpkins πŸŽƒ

Our pumpkins just get better and better every year, and I think this year is one of the best! We went over to our friends house and created a whole scene with pumpkins! (Scottys is the one on the top step eating mine, then Harlows, then Gwennas) And you'll never believe this, but one of our chickens laid an egg! Scotty found it right on the ground by the tobacco barn! Happy almost Halloween everyone!

Gearing up for winter!

It's beginning to get cold here so we tested out our "Water stove". The water stove is like a outside fireplace that warms the house with heated water. Since summer we have been storing up wood, we can fit so much wood inside it!  Another project we have been working on, is mom's garden. We tilled the whole thing, then covered it in plastic because the weeds get so bad, it turned out great!  The chickens are almost ready to lay eggs, no one has yet, but Scotty thinks they will soon! Other than that, not much is going on. We are getting ready for Halloween and getting our costumes ready! Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Buc-ees! Florence SC

For Scottys belated birthday present, we took him to Buc-ees in South Carolina! The first thing he looked at was the Christmas and Halloween displays. Then he went on over to the section where they have all the stuffed animals he bought 3 stuffies, a hat and a magnet.  They have everything   with the Buc-ee face on it, lunchbox, coolers, t-shirts, clothing, magnets, stickers, chips, drinks, pillows, blankets, hats, scarves, stuffed animals, toiletries and more! The one we went to was 50,000 Sq feet and did you know that Buc-ees has the world's cleanest bathrooms? It's true!  It was a really fun day trip and Scotty was the most happiest boy in the world πŸ˜‚

Homemade brioche buns! πŸ₯–πŸž

Since fall is fast approaching, we have been making bread to help warm the house😁 (it was 39° last night!) Our favorite bread recipie is brioche buns, they are quick to make, easy and healthy. Here's the recipie below... They make your house smell amazing and are soooo delicious! Let me know if you try them!

Farm update!

We have been working hard around the property! We tilled mom's garden and covered it in plastic, now its ready for spring!  When we were running in the morning, mom found this adorable baby turtle! It was smaller than a quarterπŸ’— Unfortunately, one night when we got back late, 2 guinea hens were still on the roof of the henhouse! We tried to get them down, but they wouldn't budge and in the morning, one was gone from the roof... we now have 26 pets.  That's pretty much all that's happened recently! We are thinking of naming our farm either, "Cancello Farms", "Cancello Farm", (what's the difference? Does anyone know?) Do you guys have any ideas?
